The Story
Ursula was an Asiatic black bear that was kept in a small concrete cage for 26 years. In 2008, World Animal Protection rescued Ursula and gave her a new home in a large woodland enclosure at the world’s biggest bear sanctuary. With pools to splash and swim in, food for foraging, and places to make dens, the sanctuary’s enclosures are designed to let the bears express their natural instincts.

These illustrations represent her dreams and hopes for other bears - a safe place to live, a habitat rich in food and trees for climbing and play.

Working with their local partner in Romania, Asociatia Milioane de Prieteni (AMP), World Animal Protection have identified 10 more bears currently trapped in the worst conditions imaginable. Your support could help rescue the remaining 10 bears in Romania from cruel captivity and stop the suffering of animals all over the world.
